From the President: For November 2007
Would you like to combine your itch to host a party with your desire to boost your involvement with Sierra Writers? After several years of graciously hosting our annual holiday do at Jan Westmore's house (thank you very much), she has opted not to host this year. It's an informal pot luck affair with helpers to lighten the load. Figure, 20 maybe 25 people. Figure 5:30 to 8:30 on Sunday, December 9, although that's still flexible. Contact me (Chuck Jaffee) at 530 265-2982 or by email to talk about it.
Shifting from December talk to November talk, something John Skinner told me is worth emphasizing. John Lescroart, who speaks to us on Wednesday, November 14, is the sellingest author ever to honor our Sierra Writers series. He's written more than a dozen lawyer yarns. Many of these novels have ridden the New York Times Best Seller list.
We'll remind you again, but talk about it with a friend or two, and let's see if we can fill the Community Room of Madelyn Helling Library at 6:30 PM, Wed. 11/14 for this, our sixth and final speaker for 2007.
